Working together

Fletchers Group of Bakeries spends in the region of £60 Million per year on materials and services, including energy and distribution. This is currently spread over about 800 individual suppliers of which about 130 are ingredient and packaging suppliers.

Flour is, of course, our main ingredient and we use in the region of 40,000 tonnes each year across 30 different grades of flour, which we need to make the vast variety of products produced by our business units.

We look to work with the best suppliers whatever material or service we buy. We aim to work closely and have a relationship that gives us both benefit and leads to us improving our products and managing our costs.
