Fletchers Group has chosen ARC (Antenatal Results and Choices) as its charitable partner.
ARC is the only national charity to help families to recover from pregnancy traumas or bereavement.
The charity was chosen following a vote by staff members, including one employee who had received direct support from ARC.
Steve Boyd, human resources director for Fletchers Group, said: “We are delighted to offer our support to such a unique and vital charity organisation.
“When a member of staff testified that the charity had genuinely helped them and their family, we were determined to take advantage of our position to be able to make a difference.”
ARC director, Jane Fisher said: “We were incredibly pleased to be chosen as charitable partner as we were up against some major high-profile charities on the Fletchers Group shortlist, where as we are far from a household name and we work within a sensitive area of family life.
“The support from the Fletchers Group is so encouraging because it feels real - sometimes with corporate social responsibilities (CSR) you feel a business might be ticking the boxes. Their support is genuine and very much appreciated.”
Staff will be involved in various fund-raising activities for ARC throughout Fletchers Group's year of support for the charity.
